  • Reading is important all of the time, but especially now!  A challenge has been offered to all 3rd grade students attending an UCPS elementary school. The Books and Brackets reading challenge will be from February 27th-Friday, March 31st.  For five weeks, students will record the number of minutes read while at school and at home. Beginning March 10th, UCPS will announce the top schools each Friday and show how schools are moving through the bracket to the winning spot. The top 8 schools with the most minutes read will get to go to Wingate University on March 31st for a day full of events.  BHESA’s faculty and staff are committed to making sure we are in the top 8 schools.  Please read, read, read, and read some more.

  • Please make sure you are displaying your child’s car rider numbers.  These are important for safety and efficiency reasons.  If car rider numbers are not displayed, you will be asked to park in a designated parking spot, report to the front office, and show identification in order to pick up your child.
