Heart for Haiti
We are raising funds for HERO Academy in Haiti to rebuild the home of orphans, Gary and Jude. The cost to rebuild is between $3000 and $5000. Any additional funds will go towards the academy to assist in education, and room and board of students at HERO Academy. Click here for the Heart for Haiti spirit week flyer. The fundraising begins on Monday!
PRMS mini-clubs have begun! Mini-clubs allow students to engage in rigorous and interesting clubs that support academic, behavioral, and emotional growth. Some examples of clubs are origami, peer tutoring, yoga, tessellations, computer coding, poetry slam, and improvisational theater. Parents are encouraged to speak with your child regarding the club he or she is participating in the next six weeks.
Car-rider Morning and Afternoon Procedures
As our year gets under way, we have fine-tuned some of the procedures for morning and afternoon drop off. Please view the revised Car-rider Morning and Afternoon Procedures. Safety is our top priority; therefore, if you have any concerns regarding the car-rider morning drop-off and/or afternoon pick-up, please notify Dr. Brian Patience, principal.
Early Dismissal Procedures
If a student plans to leave school before the end of the day, he/she must bring a note from home requesting early dismissal. The adult who plans to pick up the student must sign him/her out in the office by 3:15 pm and be prepared to show valid picture identification..ie driver's license or passport. Also, please allow yourself enough travel time to be inside the office by 3:15.
Making your own app, saving animal habitat, going into outer space… these are just a few of the things the girls at PRMS learned about when Anjali Misra, a junior studying Cognitive Science and Rida Qadn, PhD student studying Urban Information Systems both from MIT visited this past Wednesday.
