  • DRESS CODE REMINDERS

We have been experiencing issues with students not coming to school in the required Monroe Middle School Dress Code.  If a student shows up for school out of dress code he/she will be asked to call home for parents to bring the correct clothing or spend the day in In School Suspension.

  • What an Honor! Congratulations to Mrs. Teff!

From Mr. Aytes: I had the honor of being asked by the (VFW) Veteran's of foreign War local branch in Monroe to nominate someone for teacher of the year. It was very easy for me I immediately thought of Heather Teff. She has worked at East Elementary and Monroe Middle School for over 16 years both title one schools, that you are lucky to get teachers to stay more than four years at either, then they transfer.

  • Resource Carnival at MMS

Tech Training with Acacia Sammons and Michele Bost featured a "Resource Carnival" today. As carnival music played in the background and teachers enjoyed sweet treats, staff browsed the various tables where they could view and copy google presentations featuring various instructional tools such as Coggle, PBS Learning Media, Teaching Books, Ebsco Host, NC Wise Owl, ABC-Clio, Culture Grams and more!
