My Dream Essay Submission:
Think and dream say it out loud so all can/hear. Write an essay telling us of your dreams as it appears to you today and in the future. ( who and what you are in the future or see yourself as an adult) Place your future self on paper or in writing.
The essay should be: at least 200 words in length. It should reflect or draw on the life history of the dream of a noted African American.
When using information from a source be sure your facts are accurate and correct double space your writing when not in your own handwriting.
Citizens Advisory Committee:
The Union County Board of Education is organizing a Citizens Advisory Committee to provide input/feedback as the BOE conducts research for a potential Student Realignment Plan. This committee will work with the Board of Education's Facilities Committee and UCPS administrators during the current school year. The Union County Education Foundation Scholarship Information:
The Union County Education Foundation is accepting applications for the 2017 college scholarship program. All UCPS high school seniors are encouraged to apply. Recipients will be honored at the annual Sweet Salute scholarship ceremony on May 11, 2017.

Heart for Monroe Follow Your Heart 5K
Do you like to run or just walk? The Heart for Monroe Follow Your Heart 5K is coming up soon. It will be held on March 18, 2017 at 8:00 am in Downtown Monroe. SECU "People Helping People" Scholarship Information
Members of State Employees’ Credit Union established the "People Helping People" four-year scholarship program to assist North Carolina public high school students attend college. Each North Carolina regular public high school, as determined by SECU Foundation Board, will receive one (1) scholarship valued at $10,000 for a senior to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina. In addition the program will provide a $5,000 two-year scholarship to a graduating senior from early college and cooperative innovative high schools. Although the SECU Scholarship Program wishes to recognize academic achievement, the “People Helping People” Scholarship has a much broader purpose; recognizing leadership, integrity and community involvement. Online Cap and Gown Order Information
Seniors did you miss placing your cap and gown order when Jostens was on site? If so, you can still order online at www.ncgrads.com . You can order your cap and gown, rings, memorabilia, etc. All of the packages will be delivered to the school in March/April. The price of a cap and gown package doubles in January to $70 so order now!
