  • Band Selected to Perform in Southeastern Regional Concert Festival

    The CHS Band under the direction of Mr. Todd Ebert has been accepted to perform in the Music for All Southeastern Regional Concert Festival – a national program that hosts regional adjudications for bands. CHS is one of only 8 high school bands chosen from the entire southeast annually.

  • Gallagher Explores Medical Internship

    McKenna Gallagher has wanted to be a doctor since she was young. Over the years, she has explored everything from veterinary medicine to orthopedics to pediatrics, but her underlying interest in medicine has remained the same. This interest led McKenna to select Health Science I as one of her electives for senior year, so she could expand her knowledge of the industry and begin exploring this potential career path.

  • National FFA Week Recognized

    It’s National FFA Week and the CHS chapter, advised by Mr. Ben Shumate, is celebrating with a variety of activities. The first FFA Week was recognized in 1948. FFA week always runs Saturday to Saturday and encompasses February 22, George Washington's birthday. Washington was a farmer and agriculturist and holding FFA week during the week of his birthday is a way of honoring him.
