Few things can stir the soul like the rousing tunes of a marching band. Whether it’s the inspiration of patriotic music or the exhilaration of a contemporary song, when it’s performed by the synchronized precision of a high school marching band, magic happens. Pictured, at left, is Todd Ebert, the band director at Cuthbertson High School.
Who runs toward danger while the rest of us run away? Firefighters, law enforcement officers and paramedics. Shiloh Elementary students took time Friday, Sept. 9, to thank these brave men and women for their service by providing lunch during an event called “Heroes Day.” At left, Monroe Fire Battalion Chief Andy Ross talks with a student.
Business and community leaders welcomed Union County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Andrew Houlihan during a “Meet and Greet” held Wednesday, Sept. 14.
